HOW TO: Perform an Inventory Count
Some store like to perform a physical inventory monthly, quarterly or annually. This helps you know and account for what you physically have in your store’s inventory.
- Navigate to “Store Management’ from the the menu icon
in the top left hand corner
- Select ‘Inventory Management‘ from the hand navigation
- Choose the ‘Perform Inventory Count‘ tab
- Click ‘Physical Inventory‘ button in the middle of the screen.
- From here, go through your the items in your store one-by-one.
- As you are doing this type in the item name into the Physical Inventory search bar and click add.
- You can either add each item one-by-one, clicking add after each or select all item items from the search, then clicking add.
- As you are doing this type in the item name into the Physical Inventory search bar and click add.
- Once you’ve gone through all the items in your store and edited any quantities of the items you have in your software, click ‘Review‘
- If you have to stop in the middle of doing a physical inventory count, you can click the ‘Save for Later‘ button.
- When you return later, it will look like you are starting over, but it did save. To keep track yourself for when you return, we recommend Printing or save with Print to PDF. You can also see what you have so far as ‘physical inventory’ by clicking the ‘Review‘ button, but if your store has hundreds of items it may take a while to go through.
- If you have to stop in the middle of doing a physical inventory count, you can click the ‘Save for Later‘ button.
- Once finished entering in your physical inventory, click the ‘Review‘ button. Here you can double check your work, make changes if you see mistake or inline edit the quantity or remove the item from your list.
- When you are sure you have everything accounted for click the download icon in the bottom right or print a copy of your inventory count before clicking ‘Finish‘.
Once you click finish your in store inventory will be updated. Please be aware that this action cannot be undone.
